Skoda is close to choosing the location for a new factory with Serbia emerging as the favorite. Speculation about the plant’s location has been intense since Skoda’s parent, VW Group, said it wanted to build factory in eastern Europe, with Skoda likely to take the lead.
Volkswagen Group said it will shrink the workforce by up to 7,000 staff, raise productivity and make 5.9 billion euros worth of annual savings at its core VW brand by 2023 in a bid to raise the brand’s operating margin to 6 percent.
The 37 Crossway Natural Power (NP) coaches will be operated by Beltrame Group, and will be delivered to Dracénie Regional Council (Dracénie Provence Verdon agglomeration (DPVA) by the end of 2019.
